Larry K. Smeage Joins Thornberry as Vice President of SalesLANCASTER, Pa. (April 20, 2011) - Thornberry Ltd., creator of NDoc® homecare and hospice management software, has named Larry K. Smeage Vice President of Sales. Mr. Smeage will lead Thornberry's sales team in educating home health & hospice agencies about NDoc's ability to increase clinicians' efficiency, improve patient outcomes, reduce costs, and enhance profitability. "As interest for quality management software solutions in the home health market continues to rise we needed to expand our leadership team to manage and accommodate growth," said Tom Peth, President of Thornberry Ltd. "Larry's wealth of experience in the healthcare industry will bring great value to Thornberry and to our customers." With 25 plus years of experience in healthcare Mr. Smeage, has worked in acute and post-acute care, emergency medicine, clinical laboratory, record management, and clinical information systems. His extensive experience, both as a vendor and in the clinical setting, gives him a broad understanding of how Thornberry's products positively affect the delivery of patient care. Mr. Smeage's experience includes a successful nine-year stay with Cerner Corporation where his focus was the advancement of the EMR across the healthcare enterprise. Mr. Smeage earned his Bachelor of Science Degree in Microbiology and Public Health with a minor in biochemistry from Michigan State University. Larry is a registered Clinical Microbiologist and a member of the American Society for Microbiology, the ASCP, ARMA, HIMSS (Healthcare Information Management and Systems Society), RSNA (Radiological Society of North America), and AHIMA (American Health Information Management Association).
