Memorial Hospital Signs with Thornberry LtdMemorial Moves its HomeCare & Hospice Divisions to Electronic Medical Records LANCASTER, Pa. (March 17, 2010) - Thornberry Ltd is pleased to announce that Memorial Hospital, based in York, Pa., has selected NDoc as its clinical software for its home care and hospice divisions. NDoc will be installed at both, HomeCare of York and White Rose Hospice in spring 2010. "Our organization includes HomeCare of York and White Rose Hospice, so our computer system requirements demanded a robust, flexible clinical software," stated Brenda Barshinger, Vice President of Operations for Memorial Primary Care. "We evaluated offerings from several well known vendors and selected NDoc from Thornberry Ltd. We looked at systems from all over the country, but in the end chose to buy from our neighbor, Thornberry, headquartered right down the road in Lancaster, Pa." Memorial Hospital's Home Health Services provide quality care in areas ranging from physical therapy to hospice care in the York County area. HomeCare of York offers medical care and social services to patients in their home environment, while White Rose Hospice provides compassionate, quality care for terminally ill patients and their families. Currently, both agencies are utilizing a paper based system to record patient information. With the implementation of NDoc, both HomeCare & Hospice will experience the benefits of an electronic medical record. NDoc's multidisciplinary patient care plan will provide nurses and therapists the ability to review patient information, including each team members efforts with a patient, ensuring the entire patient care team can remain focused on providing excellent patient centric care. NDoc's patient care plan, automated tasks and its connected care technology platform will reduce the time clinicians will be in the office, creating more field time to serve additional patients. "Our goal, with the implementation of NDoc at HomeCare of York and White Rose Hospice, is to help position Memorial for the future of home care & hospice by implementing a true electronic medical record designed specifically to meet their unique needs," said Tom Peth, President of Thornberry Ltd.
